Abstract Information

Abstracts may be selected by the reviewers for either a poster presentation (with dedicated viewing time over the day) or for one of the oral presentation slots. The four highest scoring abstracts will be invited to present their work as an oral presentation. Please submit an abstract via the form adjacent. The deadline is 19th September 2025 and the guidelines are below:

a. Max word count of 200 words for the body of the abstract (excludes authors and title). Please note the word count at the end. No figures or tables. Abstracts longer than 200 words may be excluded.

b. The corresponding author should be available to present should the abstract be selected.  They should have taken a lead in the work being presented. Please list other authors involved in the work.

c. Abstract submission is open across disciplines and across clinical and research. It focuses on those in training and student posts but can include those in middle grade positions. It is not for consultants.

d. Content, presentation and keeping to the word count are scored.

e. Please, no abstracts on protocols only or referring to results “which will” become available. Abstracts should not be on published work.

f. Abstracts submitted to the ERS or BTS are acceptable to be submitted here.

g. Those who submit an abstract as corresponding author would not be expected to pay the delegate fee, although we would encourage EMTS membership.
