The East Midlands Thoracic Society (EMTS) has been set up to provide an educational and research forum for healthcare professionals with an interest in Respiratory Medicine. 

 

The aims of the society are

1.       increased communication between healthcare professionals

2.      allow research and innovations to be disseminated

3.       improve healthcare professionals' knowledge and skills

 

Ultimately, our goal is to improve care for our patients with Respiratory Diseases in the East Midlands. 

 

The EMTS was set up in its current form in 2015 and has held an annual Autumn Meeting since then. The conferences include updates from local specialists, key note talks from national experts and interactive sessions such as debates.
